| Kathleen Graunke, MD, specializing in Pediatrics |
Kathleen Graunke, MD PediatricsI see babies, children and teens, from birth to 18 years, as a Board Certified general
pediatrician. I offer preventive care, including well child visits and immunizations, as well as care for both urgent and chronic problems. I take call to see newborns at Swedish-1st Hill, Swedish-Ballard, and Northwest Hospital. I also have privileges at Children's Hospital. I speak German and medical Spanish, and even some Haitian Creole, because I worked in Haiti as a volunteer in 1981 and 1982.

My MD degree is from the University of Wisconsin. My pediatric internship and residency were at Boston City Hospital. I have a Masters of Public Health from Harvard University. I am a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. I have been practicing pediatrics since 1981. I have bee at the Greenlake office since 2002.
I enjoy gardening, tending a pea-patch, music, needlework, yoga, and of course, my family. I help with the youth group and sing in the choir at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. I am married with two sons.
I believe that parents are a child's best advocate. My responsibility is to provide personal attention and care along with up-to-date medical information. I enjoy my active role in the long-term growth and development of my patients.

Whooping cough in adults. We thought only children were at risk. Your next 10-yearly tetanus immunization should be a Tdap, to immunize against pertussis too, if you are under age 65.
